Western Dubuque Falls to Lewis Central

Despite a new championship game record 263 yard rushing performance with 3 touchdowns by running back Grant Glausser, the Western Dubuque Bobcats fell to Council Bluffs Lewis Central 40-21 last night in the Class 4A state title game at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.  W-D pulled within 6 points early in the fourth quarter, but Lewis Central scored the final two touchdowns of the game to pull away.  W-D finished the season 11-and-2.

 

At the Wisconsin State Football Finals yesterday at Camp Randall

  • Edgar (13-1) rolled to the Division 7 title with a 36-6 victory over Black Hawk/Warren, Ill. (12-2) in the championship final.
  • Stratford (13-1) edged Darlington (12-2) 10-7 with a 32-yard field goal on an untimed play to win the Division 6 State championship.
