Dubuque Community Schools Change Policy For Employees During Virtual Days

Staff member in the Dubuque Community School District will have greater flexibility when it comes to where they work during virtual days.

Last week, the school board approved staff to work from home during designated virtual days when the weather is bad. Previously, staff was required to report to work in-person, an employee who couldn’t make it in to work had to use a leave day.

The Dubuque district implemented the virtual learning day policy last fall and used two of the five days allowed this past school year.
