We are just learning details of an accident over the weekend which seriously injured a Dubuque woman.
Dubuque Police say the accident happened late Friday night around 11:30 in the construction zone on U.S. 61/151 near Kerper Boulevard. According to police, 36-year old Jennifer Gott was attempting to make a U-turn in the construction zone and was hit broadside by another vehicle driven by 45-year-old James Leifker of Cuba City.
Gott had to be taken by ambulance to MercyOne Hospital for treatment.
Authorities say charges are pending.
