Faulty Airbag Blamed For Dubuque Accident On Friday

news crash accident

Dubuque Police say a Peosta man was injured in an accident in the city on Friday. Police say around 1:15 in the afternoon they were called to near the intersection of Carter Road and 32nd Street for a one vehicle accident. Authorities say the vehicle driven by 37-year old Nathan Erickson was heading north on Carter Road when it went through a curve and drove into a ditch. The vehicle then flipped and landed in a creek.

Erickson told police a faulty airbag sensor caused his airbags to deploy while driving on the road and caused him to crash. He did receive minor injuries, but denied medical assistance. Erickson was cited with failure to maintain control.
