Dubuque Native Aaron Savary Earns 1st Team Big Ten Honors

Iowa Hawkeye and former Wahlert Catholic pitcher Aaron Savary has been named a first team All-Big 10 Selection

Savary, a junior received the honor after going 7-1, including 5-0 in conference play, with a 3.74 ERA in 14 regular season starts. The right-hander recorded a team-high six quality starts and struck out 81 batters in 77 innings of work. He tied his career-high with 10 strikeouts against Washington on May 3.

Savary was one of eight Hawkeyes landing All Big 10 accolades with junior pitcher Cade Obermueller and sophomore catcherReese Moore landing on the first team.
