Three Wisconsin motorcycle riders were injured in a crash during a charity ride over the weekend in Grant County.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says around 11:15 on Saturday morning, a large group of cycles was heading east on Highway 81 southeast of Lancaster when roadway conditions caused riders at the front of the group to slow down. The sheriff’s office says this caused a bottleneck effect for the rest of the group. As a result three riders ended up crashing into a ditch as they swerved to avoid colliding with other motorcycles.
All three injured riders 48-year old Juan Solis of Deforest, 64-year old Wayne Bloedow of Viroqua, and 42-year old Jacob Kerns of Madison, were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.
