Due to smoke from Canadian wildfires, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air Quality Alert through Thursday morning.
Intermittent heavy smoke is expected to impact the region the next few days at levels considered unhealthy for sensitive groups or even unhealthy for healthy individuals.
The DNR recommends that people avoid long or intense outdoor activities and take frequent breaks until the air quality improves.
The Wisconsin DNR has issued an Air Quality Alert through noon on Wednesday.
