Yesterday the Iowa High School Athletic Association released the brackets for the Class 1A and 2A substate baseball tournaments which begins July 5th.
In 2A Substate 4: Dyersville Beckman Catholic earned the No. 1 seed in District 8 and a first round bye and will play either Clayton Ridge/Central (7-10) or Waukon (5-9), who meet in the first round July 5 at MFL/Mar-Mac High School on July 8th.
Bellevue Marquette Catholic earned the No. 2 seed in District 8 and will play on July 8 and will face either MFL/Mar-Mac or Postville who meet in the first round.
In 2A Substate 3: Cascade will meet West Branch in a District 5 first-round game on July 5 in Alburnett. The winner will travel to top seeded Iowa City Regina in a semifinal.
Class 3A and 4A substate pairings will be out next week with substate games starting July 11th.
