A Dubuque man who caused a long standoff with police last year has pleaded guilty and is scheduled for a sentencing hearing next month.
33-year old Jacob Ginter was arrested following the ordeal in March 2024 at a home in the 11-hundred block of Savanna Drive in Key West.
Online court records show Ginter’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 2nd in Dubuque County District Court.
During the incident, police were originally called to the report of a domestic disturbance, when they arrived they found a woman needing medical attention.
Ginter refused orders to come outside, but after a seven hour standoff finally surrendered without incident. Ginter was booked on several charges including first degree burglary, domestic abuse assault causing injury, and child endangerment.
