The Dubuque County deputy who was shot during a traffic stop early Tuesday morning along Highway 151 near Cascade has been sent home from the hospital. The deputy who name still hasn’t been released was first taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque and then transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
The name of the driver who did the shooting and was shot and killed also hasn’t been identified. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation who has taken over the investigation says it may be a few more days before more information is released.
