A northwest Illinois man was arrested after being treated for injuries he suffered in a one vehicle crash on South Steele Road near Hanover.
The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office say around 7:15 yesterday morning they received a call from a driver who said there was another vehicle in front of them swerving all over the road. The vehicle driven by 50-year old Craig Bourrette of Hanover then reportedly went into the ditch on both sides of the road, went through a fence, through a cornfield and then into a yard before driving back on the highway. Bourrette eventually stuck a bridge abutment and then stopped after hitting some trees.
Bourrette was taken to Midwest Medical Center in Galena for non-life threatening injuries. He was then charged with a number of traffic violations.
