Some Tri-State area residents spent the weekend cleaning up from Friday’s round of severe weather and heavy rain which battered the area.
In Dubuque County the Cascade and Bernard areas were reported to be the hardest hit with numerous trees down and damaged buildings.
The National Weather Service says the strongest winds occurred in Jones, Dubuque, and Jackson counties. Officials say surveys have been conducted in Jones, Dubuque, Jackson, Scott, and Linn counties where tornadoes were determined and details on each of them will be finalized today.
