County fair season continues this week with two area county fairs getting underway today.
The 72nd annual Dubuque County Fair in Dubuque will continue though Sunday at the fairgrounds off of Old Highway Road in Dubuque. The week is filled with grandstand entertainment, races, truck and tractor pulls, and the demolition derby. Admission is 12 dollars for ages 12 and over, and free for children 11 and under. In Maquoketa, the Jackson County Fair also will run from Tuesday thru Sunday. Admission is 15 dollars for ages 13 and older and children under 12 are free. Check out their website jacksoncountyiowafair.com for more information.
