The Iowa State Patrol says an Edgewood man was killed yesterday evening when he was hit by a pickup truck in Clayton County.
The Patrol says 62-year-old Ricky Thurn was standing at the driver’s side door of a UTV parked on Glacier Road about 6 miles northeast of Edgewood when he was hit by the pickup truck.
A second UTV was parked alongside Thurn’s UTV. The driver of the pickup 56-year old Perry Peterson of Manchester and two other people 69-year old James Bunting and 63-year old Lori Bunting both of Edgewood were also injured and taken to the hospital.
The accident is under investigation.
