A two vehicle collision in Jo Daviess County sent a Freeport man to the hospital. The Jo Daviess County Sheriff says the crash happened around 7:20 yesterday morning on Highway 20 East, just west of South Golf Road in rural Stockton.
Authorities say a vehicle driven by 19-year old Yanoris Martinez-Murillo attempted to pass a semi-truck. His vehicle hit an oncoming vehicle driven by 63-year old James Prestley of Dubuque. Martinez-Murillo had to be taken by ambulance to the Freeport Hospital. Prestley refused treatment. The accident remains under investigation.
