A downtown Dubuque building is receiving a face lift after receiving a $100-thousand dollar grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority. This week the Dubuque City Council approved a resolution approving a contract with the state for the work.
The project spearheaded by Dubuque Initiatives received grant for renovation of the building at the corner of 17th Street and Central Avenue. Work to renovate the storefront and five apartment units is already underway.
