IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Mark Gronowski gives Iowa hope of improving its struggling offense. Iowa ranked 129th out of 133 Football Bowl Subdivision teams in passing last season and used three quarterbacks as injuries mounted. It’s why the Hawkeyes went out and got transfer Mark Gronowski. He threw for more than 10,000 yards and won two FCS titles at South Dakota State. Gronowski says he loves the pressure that comes with the opportunity to take over the Iowa quarterback job.

The Hawkeyes open August 30th against Albany and then play the annual CyHawk Game at Iowa State September 6th.
