The U.S. Army’s Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program at the University of Dubuque is remaining operational.
Earlier this year the Army announced the program at U-D and the University of Northern Iowa would be closing by the start of the 2026-27 school year. The Army says a revised plan will make both programs an extension unit of a host unit at the University of Iowa.
Currently about 20 students at U-D participate in the R.O.T.C. program offering students college scholarships and a path to a commission as an Army officer when they graduate.
