Concert of Public Enemy on 16 May 2019. Ziggo Dome^ Amsterdam^ The Netherlands

Public Enemy will drop the physical release of their first album in five years, Black Sky Over the Projects: Apartment 2025, on October 10th. The physical release follows the album’s surprise digital release back in June.

Upon its surprise release earlier this year, Public Enemy gave fans a “pay-what-you-want” option for 72 hours. Chuck D said at the time: “this album is a give back to all of our fans with gratitude and appreciation. We see and appreciate you”.

Flavor Flav said the legendary hip-hop group were planning on “bringing our beats to the world on this tour and with this album,” and that if fans couldn’t make it to their upcoming live dates, “these new tracks are for you to get down to at home. Pay whatcha want for the next 72 hours.”

The album will now be available in both CD and vinyl formats, including three exclusive vinyl variants: “Earth” (Barnes & Noble/Natural Black Swirl Opaque Mix vinyl), “Wind” (MVDShop.com/Light Gray Marble Opaque Mix vinyl, Exclusive Artist-Signed Edition), and “Fire” (Zia Records/Blood Orange Opaque Mix vinyl).
