A new outdoor recreation area in Dubuque County will be coming soon.
Recently Dubuque County Conservation announced they are in the process of taking ownership of a 116 acre property near Cascade which includes a lake.

She says the future possibilities for the property are endless including trails and boating opportunities.

It’s not known when the new recreation area will open. Moeller says they welcome your input into what could be included at the rec area.
Several partners, including Eastern Iowa Conservation Foundation, helped fundraise to acquire the property.
