Dubuque Police say a juvenile has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting incident in downtown Dubuque.
Around 10 yesterday morning officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area of East 17th and Jackson Streets. Officers learned an 18-year-old was involved in a disturbance with two individuals in an alley when a juvenile male pulled out a handgun and fired. The shooter missed hitting a nearby vehicle.
Traffic cameras showed the two individuals leaving in a vehicle while the 18-year-old ran to the 1700 block of Jackson Street. Police later located and arrested both suspects in East Dubuque. One juvenile was charged with attempted murder.
Police say additional charges are possible and the incident remains under investigation.
