Area Iowa and Illinois high school football teams learned their playoff opponents for this Friday night.
- Defending 3A champ Wahlert will begin their title defense at home with a first-round game against Central Dewitt
- In Class 4A: Western Dubuque will play host to Decorah
- In Class 1A: Cascade will travel to Iowa City Regina while Dyersville Beckman Catholic will host Sigourney-Keota.
In Illinois: Galena is the #16 seed in the 1-A playoff field and must travel to top seed Stockton.
