Declining enrollment and rising costs is forcing Clarke University to make some tough decisions as it looks to the future.
Yesterday Clarke announced it will phase out 13 under-enrolled academic programs at the end of the current academic year and eliminate approximately around 35 positions. Those positions will include approximately 23 faculty and 12-14 staff through attrition, consolidation or program closures.
The University says approximately 90 percent of current Clarke students WILL NOT have their current academic plan impacted by these changes.
