A California man has been sentenced to a federal prison term for distributing drugs to co-conspirators in the Dubuque area.
In U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids this week 29-year old Juan Ruiz was ordered to serve a little over 15 years in prison.
Ruiz was arrested in Colorado in 2021. Authorities say he was responsible for distributing 200 pounds of methamphetamine and 2-thousand grams of cocaine” to other members of a Dubuque-based drug-trafficking organization.
