Wahlert High School hosted the 53rd annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot yesterday with a 2.5 mile and 5 mile race. There were a total of 1389 entrants in the race this year.
Blake Whalen was the overall 5 mile winner with two-time defending Iowa Class 3A state cross country champion and 5K state high school record holder Quentin Nauman winning the 2.5 mile race.
The 5 mile female winner was Amanda Lettner while the 2.5 mile winner was Clara Keddy.
