Sundown Mountain has pushed back its season opening because of last weekend’s snow.
The resort was scheduled to open on Sunday but delayed to this coming Friday. Sundown says they’ve been making artificial snow since Wednesday, but natural snow can get in the way.
They also say fresh powder snow isn’t safe for skiing and snowboarding because it’s not packed down.
