Trial Postponed Until January for Delaware County Man Charged With Intentionally Setting Home on Fire

The trial date for a Delaware County man who has pled not guilty to charges he intentionally set fire to a home with five children inside has been postponed until next month.

31-year old Joseph Pasker of Manchester was scheduled to go on trial next week but has been postponed to January 7th.

He was arrested in November 2024 after an investigation into the July 2024 fire at the home in Petersburg. Pasker and the children  safely evacuated. Authorities said it was the second fire there within a week.

The Iowa State Fire Marshall determined the fire was intentionally set.
