A Dubuque man was injured earlier this week in a vehicle / pedestrian accident. A crash report from the Dubuque Police Department says that a vehicle driven by 50 year old Scott J. Demuth of Peosta was moving north on Elm Street around 9:30 Monday morning when he turned left onto East 22nd Street with a green light but struck 63 year old Gary R.Hayhurst of Dubuque, who was in the crosswalk with a walk signal. The report says Hayhurst, was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Demuth was cited with failure to yield to a pedestrian within an intersection.
