A Christmas Day fire left a home unlivable for a Dubuque family.
Around 2:30 yesterday afternoon Dubuque firefighters were called to 1585 Lucy Drive which online records show is owned by Dirk Lindecker. Smoke was coming from the attached garage and fire spread to the home before fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze.
Residents were able to safely evacuate before the fire department arrived and there were no injuries. The investigation is ongoing, but initial findings suggest the cause to be unintentional, likely electrical in nature.
