Winter Weather Returns with Vengeance

Snow Scene 3

Old man winter has returned with very cold temperatures and another inch or two of snow on the ground.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Dubuque and the Tri-State area until 9 this morning for some light snow ending, but blowing snow will cause reduced visibilities.

The Iowa Department of Transportation says this morning travel is not advised northwest and west of the Dubuque area including highways like Highway 20 between Dyersville to Independence, Highway 52 from Dyersville to the Prairie du Chien area, also Highway’s 38, Highway 13, and Highway 3 travel not advised.

Officials say Interstate 35 from Ames into Minnesota is still closed due to the hazardous travel conditions.
