Forecasters say dangerous and potentially life threatening cold is forecast to impact the area tonight through at least Saturday.
The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Warning from midnight until noon on Friday with an Extreme Cold Watch from tomorrow afternoon through Saturday morning.
The Weather Service says wind chills as low as 40 below are expected late tonight and Friday morning with a highs only reaching the single digits below zero during the day tomorrow after an overnight low tonight of 17 below zero. Those conditions could cause frost bite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
