Dubuque Firefighters battled two fires yesterday evening in separate parts of town.
The first call came in shortly after 6:30 and crews were called to a multi-unit storage facility at 8205 Seippel Court. When firemen arrived they found one of the units in heavy flames. The fire was contained and limited damage to other nearby units. There were no injuries.
The second fire call came in a little over two hours later just after 8:30 and crews went to 2222 Central Avenue, where fire was coming from an apartment in the upper level of the building.
There were two people inside; a man had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The dwelling was determined to be unlivable.
Both fires are under investigation, but investigators say neither is thought to be suspicious.
