4 Area Girls Wrestlers Still Alive for State Titles

At the Iowa High School Girls State Wrestling Tournament taking place in Coralville four area wrestlers are two wins away from state championships have advancing to the semi-finals in their weight class.

In Class 2A: Hempstead’s Bella Miller at 135 is in the semi-finals as she seeks back to back titles.  Ava Pfab of Western Dubuque is the other semi-finalist at 170.

In Class 1A:  Wahlert Catholic’s O’livia Seay (235) and Carly Manternach of Cascade (130) will be in the semis this morning.

Back to Class 2A : Hempstead’s Morgan Bills (155) and Karise Benson (190) and Western Dubuque’s   Elli Casey (100), Khloee Schmidt (140) and Gracelyn McCarthy (235) are still in the consolation bracket after going 1-and-1 yesterday.

In Class 1A:  Wahlert Catholic’s O’livia Seay and Carly Manternach of Cascade will be in the semis this morning.
