The Dubuque Community School Board met last night. The board approved proposed plans for a roof replacement at Irving Elementary School at a cost of 550-thousand dollars. A public hearing on the project was then scheduled for the April board meeting.
Irving is currently going through at six million dollar renovation which includes installing air conditioning into the entire building. The school will also have a new playground installed. All the work is expected to be complete by this fall.
