Galena Police have just released the name of a man who died after being hit by a vehicle over the weekend.
Police say around 7:15 Sunday evening David Sproule of Galena was found lying in the road in the area of 98-53 Route 20. He was taken Midwest Medical Center where he died. Sproule was hit by a vehicle driven by Robert Buman of Galena who had stayed there attempting life-saving measures after it happened.
Police say no charges have been filed at this time and the investigation continues.
