A central Illinois juvenile has drowned at Chestnut Mountain Ski Resort in Galena.
The Jo Daviess County Sherriff says around 9 o’clock Friday night they were called to the resort on the report of the possible drowning. When emergency crews arrived they learned the juvenile appeared to have lost consciousness. The juvenile was removed from the pool by another juvenile before first responders got there.
Despite life saving efforts the juvenile died. The incident remains under investigation.
