A former head football coach at Dubuque Senior has been ordered to serve 10 years in prison for stealing more than $47-
40-year old Darrell Moore received the sentence yesterday in Dubuque County District Court after the judge rejected his plea agreement recommending two years of probation through a deferred judgement.
Moore who served as the president of the now dissolved Dubuque Independent Football League was accused of misappropriating over $47-thousand dollars in funds from the former league from approximately November 2020 until the league folded in 2023. Moore was arrested in November 2024.
