A southwest Wisconsin man died after the Amish buggy he was operating was struck by a pickup truck.
The Layfayette County Sheriff says the collision happened yesterday afternoon around 4:15 on State Highway 23 in Willow Springs.
Authorities say the buggy driver 56-year old Joseph Glick of Mineral Point was stuck from behind by the pickup driven by 36-year old Brett Durni of Dodgeville. Glick was pronounced dead while Durni was uninjured.
The horse pulling the buggy was severely injured and had to be euthanized.
Highway 23 was closed down and detoured for a short time during the investigation of the crash which remains under investigation.
