The City of Dubuque has landed on a list of one of the safest mid-sized cites in America.
Dubuque was listed at number 15 on financial technology firm SmartAssets listing of the 75 safest mid-sized communities.
The rankings examined more than 300 cities and considered factors of violent crime rate, property crime rate, motor vehicle fatality rate, and disaster risk.
Among the four Iowa cities on the list, Dubuque ranked second highest trailing only Ames which came in fourth safest in the country.
