The Dubuque Community Schools have announced who the new assistant principal at Hempstead High School will be.
Andrea Runde, an instructional coach at Hempstead since 2017 who also served as an English teacher has been appointed and will begin the position starting in the next school year.
Runde will take over for Jared Deutch who was recently named the next principal at Dubuque Senior High School.
