The historic Town Clock in downtown Dubuque will now shine after dark following a ceremony later this week.
The group Dubuque Forward says a community celebration ceremony for lighting the Town Clock for the first time will be this Friday evening starting at 8:30.
The lighting project was made possible by community donors and supporters. The Town Clock was constructed in 1873. In 1971 the clock was set on its concrete pedestal in the middle of Main Street.
