A Dubuque man has entered a plea of not guilty to an attempted murder charge and a trial date has been set for this fall.
On Monday 26-year old John McPoland entered the plea in Dubuque County District Court and a trial date was issued for October 27th.
McPoland was arrested in late July after being accused of striking his roommate 43-year old Jesse Foutch multiple times in the head with a baseball bat.
McPoland is still being held without bond in the Dubuque County Jail.
