Julien Dubuque Bridge Wide Open

HOME BRIDGE

The Julien Dubuque Bridge between Iowa and Illinois is once again fully open to traffic.

Yesterday D.O.T. construction crews put some finishing touches on the nearly 11-million dollar project by finishing the deck sweeping and painting markings.

Officials says next week, drivers traveling across the bridge might encounter some lane closures on one or two nights due to painting work, but it won’t require the bridge to be closed.

The bridge has been partially or fully closed during the construction work that started in mid-June.
