On Saturday evening, a Dubuque man was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident after striking two juveniles who were walking. Dubuque police say around 8:30, 33-year old Andrew Trilk was driving on 20th street and went to make left turn onto Jackson Street and struck the two crossing the street. Trilk’s vehicle was stopped about 45 minutes later and he was charged.
One of the juveniles, 11-year old Chance Hennagir had to be taken to Mercy One Medical Center for a leg injury. There were no reported injuries to the other unnamed juvenile. Trilk was also charged with failing to yield the right of way to pedestrians.
