Feta Burgers with Tzatziki

Feta Burger With Tzatziki

3 lbs. lean ground beef

¼ cup red bell pepper, finely chopped

2 tbsp. red onion, finely minced

2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

1 tsp. chopped fresh oregano

½ tsp. paprika (not smoked)

¼ tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. salt

¼ tsp. black pepper

1/3 cup feta cheese, crumbled

Hamburger buns

Prepared Tzatziki sauce

Sliced red onion (for garnish)

Baby spinach leaves (for garnish)

Sliced tomato (for garnish)

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, red bell peppers, red onion, parsley, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper and feta cheese.  Mix well with your hands (be careful not to over mix!).

Divide beef mixture into 9 patties (1/3lb. each).  Grill over 350-degree F for 6-8 minutes on each side (check burger’s internal temperature with meat thermometer for 160-degrees F for doneness).  Remove from heat and let rest 5 minutes.

Build the burger by adding a couple of spinach leaves to the bottom of the bun, a slice or two of red onion, then a slice of tomato and add the burger.  Top burger with Tzatziki and some crumbled feta cheese.  Enjoy.
