Hop in my Halloween Time Machine.  Found pics of a few of my Halloween costumes from growing up.   The years are estimates, as we didn’t have time-stamps on the old cube-flash cameras!

1976

Not quite sure what the costume was.  The patch-up pants could have been could have been a “hobo” look, which was always a popular costume back in the day.

Traditional costumes like a Clown were very popular in the late 70s.  Have to check with Mom, to see if this was homemade.

Jumping up a few years.  Probably bought my Superman costume at Zayre’s!  I can still smell the plastic from that mask.  You’ll also recognize the clown costume from a few years back.  That’s my younger brother.   Back in the day, everything was hand-me-down, including costumes!

I remember being very proud of this costume.  I’m sure I was  Packers player at least 2 or 3 Halloweens!  The Demon and Bear were my neighborhood friends.  Younger brother is, I think, a hobo.  And there is a new younger brother in the pic…again, rockin’ the clown costume!  That outfit got a lot of years!

That’s me on the right.  Ninjas were everything back in the early 80s. I remember Mom having his old komodo robe, and doing her best to turn me in to some sort of Samurai.   Love my buddy’s costume.  That’s a knife, stuck in his heart, with blood oozing out.

Not sure what this costume is.  Mom got the “hair” spray paint this year, so it was all about that.  I’m wearing a Cubs hat, shades, and fingerless gloves that I was very proud of.  Youngest brother has a legit Ninja outfit though, complete with nunchucks.  As far as my sister goes, where the hell is the clown costume?

That’s me on the left, with a couple of my dudes from school. Not sure about this costume.  It’s probably 5th grade, and this is how I dressed every day.  The rolled up jeans, bandana tied on the lower leg, and jean jacket?  That was normal.  I guess the red paint on my face was punk. Hell if I remember.  Notice my little brother behind us. Once again, an appearance of the “hobo” costume, with fake beard and dirty face.
