UW Platteville guard Ella Mackiewicz is this week’s WIAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Mackiewicz scored a season-high 23 points as the Pioneers dominated in the second half for an 87-50 home win over Lake Forest College (Ill.) on Dec. 6. She also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, including four offensive boards, and finished with one steal in the victory.
