Two Wisconsin men and a juvenile were injured after their car crashed following a high speed chase in Jo Daviess County on Monday night.
The Jo Daviess County Sheriff says around 8:15, Galena Police attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of Main and Water streets but the vehicle took off at high speed and out of town on Highway 20. Due to safety reasons, officers ended the pursuit. Shortly afterward they received a report of an accident on North Menominee Road, just south of Route 5 in rural East Dubuque.
The investigation shows the car driven 21-year old Joseph Oimoen of Barneveld, failed to make a turn, hit a mailbox and went airborne before hitting a utility pole and rolling over several times.
Oimoen was taken to Midwest Medical Center in Galena for treatment, a passenger 21-year old Levi Brown and a juvenile were also injured and were taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque.
Oimoen faces several charges including driving under the influence of drugs.
