Some local area schools are among 67 in Iowa benefitting from nearly six million dollars in Learning Beyond the Bell grant money being awarded by Iowa Department of Education.
The schools receiving a share of the funding include:
- Dubuque elementary schools Audubon, Lincoln, and Marshall
- Clayton Ridge High School
- Briggs Elementary in Maquoketa
The grant money will help create, expand, and sustain high quality before-and-after school programs. Grants will be distributed for implementation this spring and summer.
