Enoch Found Guilty of Murder

After three days of testimony from nearly 20 witnesses, a jury on Monday found a Dubuque man guilty in the 2021 murder of Kylie Jo Duster.On July 28th, 2021, Dubuque Police officers conducted a welfare check on Kylie Duster after she had not been heard from by family members since July 25th. Officers found Duster dead inside her apartment. An autopsy determined her manner of death to be homicide caused by suffocation. Following a 16-month investigation, police located and arrested 23-year-old Romell Davon Enoch and charged him with Murder in the First Degree.
A sentencing hearing in the case is now scheduled for July 1st. A first-degree murder conviction comes with a mandatory life sentence in the state of Iowa.
